There’s a very long backstory to this week-long Atwood win at the wonderful Pelee Island Book House, including two decades of fandom, one of gentle stalking, many talks and book signings, an accidental bump-in, a joyous acknowledgement, a lucky break, an unfortunately-timed due date, a hopeful rain check, a pushy reappearance and another lucky break that let this dream finally come true. Plus my wonderful hubs played Mom all week so I could sleep all night too. Am very grateful for all the above, plus a dozen new friends I made it in the process, so imma just gonna leave this here:
